Bee homicide

Saw this linked up and I thought how tragic. I am sure a couple hours of research would have yielded someone to come safely relocate them.

I grew up next to a bee keeper. He had five hives and always brought up honey after our apple trees bloomed.  Honey bees just do not sting people unless given a really good reason to do so. I walked right up to the hives and bee's would fly around me and even land on me, but never once was I stung.  I am giving serious thought to becoming a bee keeper myself one day.

We have these great big fat bumble bees that regularly bump into the window right in front of my computer when they are drunk on nectar from the random flowering tree that is also just outside the same window. We have talked of raising bees someday in the future.
What a crazy waste. As you predicted, a 5 min search from my end took me to a site of beekeepers in my area some of whom would remove the hive for free.
